Recovery Ready resPonse
What: Creating an acute response plan in the event of an overdose event. Once completed, the focus will be creating a community ready to help people with substance use disorder find the treatment and resources they need.
Who: First responders and recovery efforts in Sullivan County
How: A plan for surveillance, detection, intervention, prevention, advocacy, and research of both fatal and non-fatal spikes in drug overdoses will be ready for implementation in the event of an unusual drug exposure incident.
Where: Sullivan County
Why: Community stakeholders must collaborate to create a plan that will allow a quick response to address the increased overdose numbers, prevent additional injuries or fatalities, and be able to respond effectively should a localized overdose event happen.
