Next Meeting will be on September 12, 2019 at the Sullivan County Regional Health Department in Blountville (10 AM)
Since January 2011, the Coalition has worked together to mobilize the community and increase access to prevention resources. More than 100 individuals representing law enforcement and juvenile courts, local governing bodies, youth serving organizations, treatment and recovery programs, healthcare, media, school system and interested citizens have participated in this effort.
Coalition members are encouraged to participate on subcommittees that address more specific substance abuse issues. Subcommittees coordinate a variety of projects and activities throughout the year to support our mission. The coalition meets every other month to discuss current projects, recommend strategies for community change and network with other substance abuse prevention leaders. Anyone interested in making a positive impact on the community is encouraged to attend. A few hours of your time each month can make a big difference in the well-being of our community!
