Tobacco Compliance Checks

The Coalition recommends that tobacco compliance check minors be allowed to carry an ID.

Other positions implied by our strategies:

To prevent Underage and Binge Drinking:

• Social Host laws need to be enforced

• Compliance check data should include number of establishments checked, number of establishments found to be compliant, number of establishments found to be non-compliant

To prevent Tobacco Initiation:

• Smoke free policies for outdoor spaces are needed

• Tobacco ads need to be at least three feet or higher.

To prevent Prescription Drug Abuse:

• Take Back boxes are located at every law enforcement agency

• The National DEA Take-Back events need to be supported by local participation
