MDMA (Ectasy / Molly) -

September 9, 2013

On September 25, 2013, reporting to the Senate Drug Caucus, Dr. Nora Volkow, (NIDA) stated that Molly is supposed to be 100% Ecstasy, but the quality of Ecstasy has been going down.  When buying Molly, like any other unregulated manufacturing process, the seller cannot guarantee what the buyer is getting. Much of the current product is contaminated. Because of the randomness of the production process, the buyer may be purchasing something that is particularly toxic, as recently seen in by the death of four people in a single week. If the victim makes it to the emergency room, the doctor does not know what to treat. Calling the substance Molly may have just been a marketing tool by the seller; it may not be MDMA at all.
